According to inside sources, Jarosław Kaczyński is pushing to expel Mateusz Morawiecki from PiS, while many MPs from the former prime minister's faction want to leave the party independently. This would be the fifth and largest split in PiS history, following earlier departures by Marek Jurek, Ludwik Dorn and Zbigniew Ziobro's group.
