Bentley's electric car replaces engine roar with an onboard drum track
Bentley has revealed that its upcoming electric vehicle will replace the traditional engine soundtrack with a specially recorded percussion track rather than artificial engine noise. Engineers at Crewe studied the acoustic character of the brand's most iconic combustion engines and concluded that live drumming best captures their essence. The unconventional sound design sets Bentley's EV apart from rivals that typically use synthesised engine noise.
