Google open-sources its 3D emoji collection

Google has open-sourced its collection of 3D emoji, allowing anyone to use them in their own creations. The company shared details about its design process on Friday in celebration of World Emoji Day. Creating 3D emoji introduces challenges absent in 2D illustration, including depth, lighting and perspective.
