Christopher Nolan's new film The Odyssey has launched to a 95% critics' score and 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, plus an A grade on CinemaScore. It carries a reported $250 million budget — matching The Dark Knight Rises as Nolan's most expensive film — and needs around $1 billion worldwide to be considered a blockbuster. Nolan's previous film Oppenheimer grossed nearly $1 billion on a $100 million budget and earned him his first Best Director Oscar.
