Ukraine to grant Volhynia exhumation permits immediately, says Ukrainian IPN chief

The head of Ukraine's Institute of National Remembrance, Oleksandr Alfiorov, told Polish Radio that permits for further exhumations of Volhynia massacre victims will be granted immediately. The declaration marks a significant step in Polish-Ukrainian historical cooperation regarding the 1943–1945 killings, in which an estimated 50,000–100,000 Poles lost their lives.
