Ukraine's IPN: Volhynia exhumation permits to be issued immediately
The head of Ukraine's Institute of National Remembrance, Oleksandr Alfiorov, told Polish Radio that permits for exhumations of Volhynia massacre victims will be granted immediately. President Volodymyr Zelensky had earlier announced that additional permits for search and exhumation work would be issued. The move marks a significant step in Polish-Ukrainian historical dialogue over the 1943–1945 massacres.
