Batman Part II delayed to 2028 as production finally begins with Pattinson

After years of delays, The Batman Part II is finally in production. Director Matt Reeves shared an announcement video featuring star Robert Pattinson a few days ago, while Warner Bros. revealed that the movie's release date had been pushed from 2027 to 2028. Meanwhile, J.J. Abrams ' mysterious new sci-fi movie will take the spot vacated by the Batman sequel. Abrams and Reeves go back a long way; they worked as co-creators on the popular television series Felicity , and later collaborated on the hit sci-fi movie Cloverfield . Their most recent project together is a superhero series that premiered to excellent reviews in 2024 and will return with a new season in a few days. The show has been keeping fans of Reeves' Dark Knight movie occupied while they wait for the sequel.
