IMGW: Unplugging devices during storms helps, but isn't the only precaution

Poland's IMGW-PIB meteorological institute advises that a home is generally a safe shelter during a thunderstorm, but residents should limit use of mains-powered devices during lightning. Unplugging appliances is a sensible precaution, and surge protectors are also recommended. The institute urges caution with all electrical equipment during lightning activity.
