San Francisco orders Apple and Google to pull 13 nudify apps from their stores

San Francisco Attorney General David Chiu sent cease-and-desist letters to Apple and Google demanding the removal of 13 nudification apps from their stores. These AI tools allow bad actors to strip clothing from photos, alter features and place victims in sexualised images. Chiu warned that by hosting the apps, the stores were violating California laws prohibiting services that create deepfake pornography.
