Canadian wildfires create hazardous air quality ahead of World Cup final
More than 800 wildfires are burning across Canada, including around 190 in northern Ontario, creating hazardous air quality in parts of Canada and US states including Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan and New York. The surge in fires is largely attributed to climate change. Donald Trump has blamed Canada's forest management for the crisis and threatened additional tariffs in response.
