Existing 5G Networks Can Identify and Track Rogue Drones, AT&T and Ericsson Show
AT&T and Ericsson have demonstrated in a proof-of-concept test that existing 5G cellular networks can detect and track aerial objects, including rogue drones that pose public safety risks. No additional infrastructure is required beyond the standard network already in place. The technology could be deployed to protect airports, stadiums and other sensitive locations.
