240-million-year-old mastodonsaurus skeleton slowly revealed in Warsaw

Scientists in Warsaw are daily uncovering new bones of a mastodonsaurus — a giant prehistoric amphibian that lived in present-day Poland around 240 million years ago, predating the famous dinosaurs. The fossil had been locked inside rock for hundreds of millions of years. Once preparation work is complete, the skeleton will be put on public display.
