Kremlin deploys FSB and prosecutors to audit Russia's defence industry finances
The Kremlin has launched a sweeping financial crackdown on Russia's defence-industrial complex, deploying the FSB, Investigative Committee, Interior Ministry, prosecutors, Federal Treasury, Rosfinmonitoring, the Tax Service and the Anti-Monopoly Service. The agencies are tasked with scrutinising defence-contract pricing, subcontractors, supply chains and strategic assets. Analysts see the move as a sign that Moscow is losing control over war spending and looking to root out fraud.
