MPs' immunity requests pile up in parliament with no clear criteria for review
A growing queue of requests to lift parliamentary immunity has built up in the Sejm, but only a few are being processed — and according to "Rzeczpospolita", the selection criteria are unclear. Without lifted immunity, an MP cannot face criminal charges. Critics describe the process as a "VIP lounge" with no transparent or objective rules governing which cases are heard.
