Poland's eastern "wall" regions among Europe's fastest-depopulating areas by 2050

Eurostat data published on Tuesday show that more than 70% of EU regions will lose population by 2050. Poland's eastern "wall" regions — the country's least developed eastern areas — are among those facing the steepest declines. The findings highlight sharp demographic inequalities within the European Union.
