Two speed limit signs on the same pole explained
Two different speed limit signs on the same pole or on opposite sides of a road are not a mistake — each applies to a specific direction of travel or lane type. One sign governs traffic heading in one direction while the other covers the opposing flow. Different limits can also reflect nearby junctions, exit ramps or varying road conditions at that point.
