UN opens refugee support centre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

The UN refugee agency (UNHCR) and the Ethiopian government have opened a new support centre in Addis Ababa offering refugees free legal advice and access to essential services. The centre aims to help refugees navigate bureaucracy, obtain vital documents and improve their employment prospects. Ethiopia hosts over one million refugees, making it Africa's third-largest refugee-hosting country.
