Beer was the drink of Polish kings — one barrel even sparked a war

Gall Anonymous mentioned beer in the legend of Piast the Wheelwright, who offered it to mysterious travellers at his son's coming-of-age ceremony. Surviving court records confirm the drink was a major trade commodity and a staple at royal tables.
