Polish data authority fines homeowner over 25,000 zł for illegal CCTV
Poland's Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) fined a property owner more than 25,000 złoty for continuing to operate a CCTV system after being ordered to remove it. The authority argued that maintaining public order is not within the remit of private individuals. It is the first such fine issued in Poland for private surveillance in defiance of a regulatory order.
