Iraq signs deals with Western energy firms to bypass Strait of Hormuz

Iraq signed a series of agreements with Western energy companies at a US-Iraq business summit in Washington on Friday. The deals aim to expand oil and gas production and create alternative export routes that bypass the Strait of Hormuz. An Iraqi official stated that Hormuz would "become a secondary matter" once the new routes are operational.
