Venezuela quake death toll tops 5,000; IMF releases $346m in recovery funds

Twin earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24 have killed more than 5,000 people, officials confirmed. The coastal state of La Guaira, north of Caracas, was decimated by the two quakes that hit within a minute of each other. Venezuela will tap $346 million from the International Monetary Fund for reconstruction efforts.
