Presidential chief of staff defends Nawrocki's veto of partner status law

Zbigniew Bogucki, head of the Presidential Chancellery, responded to Prime Minister Donald Tusk's criticism of President Karol Nawrocki's veto of the "nearest person" status bill. Bogucki stated the veto is not an expression of contempt for people's right to happiness, but a defence of the institution of marriage. Tusk had sharply condemned the presidential refusal to sign the legislation.
