Mount Olympus, home of Greek gods, nominated for UNESCO World Heritage List

Mount Olympus, the highest peak in Greece and the mythological home of the 12 Olympian gods, is being put forward as a candidate for UNESCO's World Heritage List. The nomination would recognise the mountain's exceptional cultural and natural significance. A UNESCO decision has not yet been made.
