Dragon Quest XI S on Switch 2 will take up 23.4 GB — 9 GB more than the original

The Nintendo eShop listing for Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age on Switch 2 now shows an estimated file size of 23.4 GB, compared to 14 GB for the original Switch version. The Square Enix RPG is scheduled to launch on Switch 2 in September.
