Lawyers clash over blockbuster definition at Paramount–WBD merger hearing

Lawyers for Paramount and attorneys general from a dozen US states clashed at a court hearing Friday over the proposed merger between Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery. Central to the dispute was whether films such as "Obsession" and "F1" qualify as blockbusters under antitrust law. The two sides also argued over how quickly the state AGs' antitrust challenge should proceed.
