Kinga Jackowska medals at U18 European Championships in shot put in Rieti

Fifteen-year-old Kinga Jackowska, coached by Maciej Bukowiecki (brother of top Polish shot putter Konrad) in Szczytno, competed for gold at the U18 European Athletics Championships in Rieti. After fouling two attempts and sitting third, she took the lead with her fourth throw. A Dutch athlete ultimately overtook her to claim gold. Jackowska had previously set Polish records in older age categories.
