Distillery owner may face just 3 months jail over deaths of Australian teens in Laos

A court in Laos has announced charges against the distillery owner linked to the methanol poisoning deaths of 19-year-old Australian backpackers Bianca Jones and Holly Morton-Bowles in Vang Vieng. The two teenagers, along with four other travellers, were fatally poisoned while drinking at the Nana Backpackers hostel. Fears that the charges are too light have been confirmed, with the owner potentially facing only three months in jail.
