Emmys 2026: Five Categories Cut from NBC Primetime Telecast on September 14

The Television Academy has voted to move five award categories from the Primetime Emmys telecast on NBC (September 14) to the Creative Arts Emmys (September 5–6). Viewers watching the main show will see significantly fewer awards presented live. The changes apply to the 2026 Emmy ceremony.
