Taco Bell shredded lettuce from Mexico identified as Cyclospora source in 5 US states
The CDC and FDA traced a surge in Cyclospora infections — causing severe, watery diarrhoea — to shredded iceberg lettuce from a single Mexican supplier served at Taco Bell restaurants in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia. Sources identified the supplier as Taylor Farms, previously linked to a 2024 E. coli outbreak tied to McDonald's onions. Federal authorities have not officially named the supplier.
