Ford recalls 288,000 Explorer SUVs from 2016–2019 over loose roof rails
Ford has issued its 57th recall of the year, covering 288,000 Explorer SUVs from model years 2016 to 2019 due to loose roof rails that pose a safety risk. The recall notably includes vehicles that Ford had previously repaired in earlier service actions. It is the latest in a long series of recalls for the American automaker in 2025.
