Nawrocki vetoes cohabitation bill — critics say he "despises part of society"
President Karol Nawrocki has vetoed the so-called "cohabitant" bill, which was considered a compromise piece of legislation. Jolanta Sienkiewicz-Prochowicz told Wirtualna Polska that Nawrocki "does not respect and outright despises part of society," calling the ideological veto painful. Critics argue that the president, who should represent all citizens, is instead acting on narrow ideological grounds.
