Fraudsters posing as police officers stole 30,000 zł from elderly woman's savings

An elderly woman lost 30,000 złoty — savings accumulated over 15 years — to a scam in which fraudsters impersonated police officers. They instructed her to count and seal her cash in an envelope, claiming they would recount it themselves. Her son noticed something was wrong when he called and she sounded "strange," but the money was already gone.
