Zelensky: Ukraine to open archives on the Volhynia massacre
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Friday a new Ukrainian policy towards Poland, including opening archives related to the Volhynia massacre, increasing permits for search and exhumation works, and deepening dialogue between the two nations' societies. The Volhynia massacre of 1943–1945, in which the Ukrainian UPA killed tens of thousands of Poles, remains one of the most sensitive issues in Polish-Ukrainian relations.
