BYD aims to overtake Toyota as world's top-selling carmaker within five years without US sales

Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD has announced its ambition to become the world's best-selling car company within five years, explicitly stating it does not need the US market to achieve this goal. The company is focusing its global growth strategy on Europe, Asia and other regions to surpass Toyota in total sales volume.
