NASA's IXPE telescope maps magnetic fields of the Lighthouse Pulsar

NASA's IXPE (Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer) space telescope has mapped the magnetic fields of the so-called Lighthouse Pulsar and the extended cosmic wake it produces. X-ray observations revealed previously unknown details about the magnetic structure surrounding this neutron star remnant. The findings provide new insight into the extreme environments generated by pulsars.
