Australia reviews surrogacy laws as families struggle to find options
The Australian Law Reform Commission is examining how to better regulate surrogacy, as desperate families spend enormous sums on failed IVF attempts at home and abroad. One Melbourne couple went through nine IVF rounds locally and two more in Spain without success. The review comes amid concerns over financial exploitation and power imbalances in the industry.
