Former referee and TVP Sport expert Rafał Rostkowski has condemned FIFA's decision to appoint Slovenian Slavko Vinčič as the referee for the World Cup final, calling it a "scandal." He stated that Vinčič "simply does not deserve it in any respect." Rostkowski argued that Polish referee Szymon Marciniak should have been given the role instead.
