CDC confirms Taco Bell shredded lettuce as source of parasite outbreak in 5 US states

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has confirmed that shredded iceberg lettuce served at Taco Bell restaurants owned by Yum Brands was the source of a diarrhoea-causing parasite outbreak. The contamination affects outlets in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia. Consumers in those five states have been warned to avoid the product.
