Polish government ends fuel subsidy programme CPN
Prime Minister Donald Tusk has confirmed that the CPN (Ceny Paliwa Niżej) fuel subsidy programme will not be extended, ending state co-financing of reduced petrol prices at the pump. Tusk cited budget constraints and uncertainty over Middle East tensions and shifting US energy policy. Drivers can expect pump prices to rise as a result.
