Gabriel Perez, Donald Trump's teleprompter operator since 2016, allegedly used inside knowledge of the president's speech content to place bets on Kalshi, a major prediction market platform. ABC News reports that federal investigators believe Perez exploited his privileged access for financial gain. Kalshi says it detected the suspicious activity and reported it to authorities.
