Mrzygłód returns from injury to beat Olympic champion Nadeem in Lucerne
Cyprian Mrzygłód, Polish javelin champion, made his comeback in Lucerne after undergoing double surgery on his ankle and knee in late 2024. The 28-year-old from ALKS AJP Gorzów started with throws of 70–71 metres before launching the javelin close to 80 metres, defeating Paris Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem for only the second time in his career. Dawid Wegner threw even further on the day.
