San Francisco Orders Apple and Google to Remove AI Nudify Apps From Stores

San Francisco's City Attorney's Office sent cease-and-desist letters to Apple and Google demanding they remove 13 AI "face-swap" apps used predominantly to generate non-consensual nude images of women and girls. The city accuses both tech giants of profiting from tools that facilitate harassment. The letters call for immediate removal of the apps from their respective stores.
