EU scraps duty-free threshold for non-EU parcels — flat €3 fee per item from July 1
From 1 July 2026, the EU has abolished the customs duty exemption for e-commerce parcels worth up to €150 imported from outside the bloc. It is replaced by a flat-rate duty of €3 per declared item at customs. The change is designed to level the playing field for European retailers and make online shopping safer for consumers.
