Sophie Simnett to star in black-and-white silent comedy 'The Candidate'

Rising British actress Sophie Simnett, known for Netflix's "Daybreak" and crime film "Twist," has been cast in "The Candidate," a black-and-white silent comedy described as being in the style of the Chaplin era of filmmaking. She will star alongside writer-actor Jack Whittle of "Tony!" fame. The film features a dance interlude as part of its vintage style.
