Polish parliament passes bar reform: lawyers get public-official protection, 200,000 zł fine for title misuse

The Polish Sejm has voted in favour of a comprehensive reform of the legal profession. Key changes include granting lawyers the same legal protection as public officials, creating a publicly accessible online register of attorneys, and introducing fines of up to 200,000 zł for the unlawful use of the professional title. The reform does not, however, include provisions for lawyers' paid leave.
