Nawrocki vetoes cohabitation bill — ruling coalition calls it a "disgrace"

President Karol Nawrocki on Friday vetoed the government's bill granting legal status to partners in informal relationships, along with its implementing legislation. The decision leaves around 2 million Poles in cohabiting partnerships without legal protection. Ruling coalition politicians called the veto a "disgrace" showing "contempt" for citizens.
