French storms kill 2 and cut power to 53,000 homes in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

Violent thunderstorms in France have killed two people and left 53,000 households without power. Grid operator Enedis said the outages affected mainly the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in the country's southeast.
