UK gang jailed for $5.4M crypto scam — impersonated police officers

A UK gang has been jailed for stealing over £4 million (~$5.4M) in cryptocurrency from eight victims. The fraudsters impersonated police officers and built convincing fake police websites to deceive their targets. Victims were persuaded to hand over their crypto funds under the guise of having them "secured" by authorities.
