Nawrocki signs law to speed up Swiss-franc mortgage court cases

President Karol Nawrocki signed legislation on Friday aimed at speeding up court cases involving Swiss-franc mortgages. The new rules will suspend repayment obligations once a lawsuit is filed and allow claims from both the bank and borrower to be settled in a single proceeding. The law is expected to benefit hundreds of thousands of Poles still locked in franc-mortgage disputes.
