Parliamentary committee backs Gregorczyk-Abram for Ombudsman post 17-9

The Sejm's Justice and Human Rights Committee endorsed Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram as the next Polish Ombudsman (RPO) by 17 votes to 9. The rival PiS candidate Adam Borowski received support from only 10 MPs, with 18 voting against him. The nomination now moves to a full Sejm vote.
